Daniel A. Reppert - Biography

Daniel Reppert has more than 30 years of experience in insurance and financial services. He is a Principal with Financial Risk Analysts. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Prior to joining Financial Risk Analysts, Mr. Reppert served as President of the Wholesale Brokerage Division of Fortegra Financial. In this role, he was responsible for strategic development, sales and operational management of the division, which included a national wholesale broker, managing general agency, and a premium finance company. Under his leadership, the division materially outperformed its competition. During his five years with Fortegra, he also served for periods as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Actuary.

Previously, Mr. Reppert served as Senior Risk Officer for Insurance at Wachovia Corporation, where he led efforts to customize enterprise risk management solutions to support the company’s insurance brokerage, annuity sales, and life insurance and annuity underwriting businesses. He worked with senior operational managers to assure that business results were achieved within expected risk tolerances.

Before Wachovia, Mr. Reppert spent 18 years with Royal & SunAlliance Insurance. He began his career at RSA as an actuary, and over the years, served in a variety of actuarial, financial, operational, and strategic leadership roles, rising to become President of the company’s Consumer Insurance Division. As President, he was responsible for a division consisting of 4 businesses with more than $1 billion in revenues and 1000 people in more than 20 offices across the US. These business included standard and specialty personal lines, financial services, and commercial insurance for affinity groups and specialty programs.

Mr. Reppert has served on the Casualty Actuarial Society Examination Committee and is active in Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lebanon Valley College with Bachelor of Science degrees in Actuarial Science.
